One year I was one of Armada’s Heads of Sales. I contacted hundreds of companies, and at first I honestly thought I could keep track of them all in my head.
“I’ll just go through my inbox once in a while.”
Naive. I know I lost at least one company just because I forgot to keep in touch. We had an Excel list, of course, but it was a pain to keep up to date, and the five of us on sales all used it differently. In the end it was chaos. I kept thinking we needed one place for everything we knew about each company, and a clear view of where every conversation stood.
Then I moved to logistics
Another year I was Head of Logistics and Fair, which meant making sure every exhibitor got exactly what they had ordered. We had a system for collecting orders that worked well enough, but sales and logistics still clashed. There was always something extra a company had asked a salesperson for, or a late change that never made it into the system.
Logistics ran on endless spreadsheets too, always out of date and in a different version for everyone who opened them.
Building the system we wanted
So when Didrik and Hampus wanted to build something better, I was excited. What if we could build a system that really helped? One place where companies sign up and handle everything a career fair asks of them.
We started talking to other career fairs and found that everyone wanted the same few things:
- A simple way for exhibitors to sign up
- A proper database of companies and their contacts
- A sales pipeline that shows where every company stands
- An easy way to collect information from companies and share it with the rest of the team
We call it Eventro
Eventro does all of that, and it adapts to how your fair works instead of the other way around. It works whether you have one big sales period or many small ones, and whether you only sell lunch lectures or run a fair with one-to-one talks and fifty different add-ons.
Because we hate it when the tools we use limit our imagination.
Armada 2024 was the first fair to run on Eventro. If you run a fair and any of this sounds familiar, book a demo and we’ll walk you through Eventro with your own fair in mind.
